Moments in Time

Every so often, something sparks inspiration—a catalyst, an event, a fleeting moment powerful enough to set off either a thoughtful, measured exploration (a rarity for me!) or, more often, a frenzied, impassioned creative outburst. I find myself constantly drawn to the natural world, mesmerized by colors, reflections, textures, geological layers, and the beauty of flora and fauna. Observing and absorbing these details is second nature to me—I am always on the lookout.

This space is where I share glimpses of these moments with you, my valued viewers.

My husband Ian and I had the privilege of travelling to Scotland for a September salmon fishing trip—a departure from our usual annual visit in May to the River Cassley.

The River Dee and Cairngorms were breathtaking. Yes, we had rain. Yes, it was bitterly cold at times. No, I didn’t catch a salmon (Ian did!), but yes—we had an unforgettable time.

Inspired by this incredible experience, here are some of the creative sparks that emerged:

  • Heather in the Sunshine

  • Heather at Twilight

  • Thistles

  • Whale Watching

  • Antlers – Inspired by the Colors of a Stag

  • The Riverbed – Glistening Like Jewels

Each of these moments, captured in nature, is a whisper of inspiration that finds its way into my work. I can’t wait to see where they take me next!
