A Day in the Life of a Fluid Artist
When I first began my creative journey in 2019, little did I know that a day in the life of a fluid artist would look something like this. A fluid artist who became a (Very Accidental) Film Star.
Let’s be honest—I never imagined myself in front of a camera. But when award-winningproduction company Recipe - https://www.reci.pe/ - got in touch, how could I say no? Filming took place on December 6, 2024, and let me tell you—it was nothing short of a blockbuster experience!

A Personal Stylist & Makeup Artist? Yes, please! The wonderful Gayle styled me (and gifted me the clothes—bonus!), while the incredibly talented Lisa worked her magic, making sure I was camera-ready. (No shine, darling!) Even my Studio Got a Makeover! I was offered funding for a cleaner to spruce up my space—because, let’s face it, a fluid artist gets messy and my studio was in a state. I could not pass this task on to someone else - it took me three days to transform it into something fit for the big screen.
An NDA and a Global Audience
Signing a nondisclosure agreement stating that my art could be seen worldwide after its release? Now that made things real! This unusual day of a fluid artist had taken mycreations to another level.
Filming Day – A Blur of Excitement for a Fluid Artist
As you’d expect, showbusiness isn’t all glam and filming day was an overwhelmingly busy schedule:
7 AM: Art Director Steve arrives to collect my paintings.
9 AM: I’m chauffeured to Nottingham Society of Artists, where I’m met with a hive of activity—20+ crew members, huge screens, a black tent, and an alien world of technical wizardry.
Midday: The cameras roll. Somehow, I don’t stumble or stutter (phew!).
Afternoon: Back home for a live art session in my studio—cue more cameras, more lights, and a massive insulated box of hot lunches for the crew. And when it was all over? Champagne time! It was an unforgettable day, filled with kindness, professionalism, a whole lot of fun, and Champagne.
I may not be an actress, but for one incredible day, I felt like a movie star. However, when I’m not working on Hollywood blockbusters, I’m doing what a fluid artist does best: creating inspirational works of art.
