Emotional Works of Fluid Art

Those familiar with the many themes in my collection will be aware that emotional works of fluid art are literally at the heart of what I do. Art is a powerful way to connect and emotion is central to what I do. Colour compositions convey feelings as do the movement of the oils. Emotional works of fluid art can depict violent swirls, a dramatic collision of intense shades, or soft, sensual curves that flow infinitely through a scene.

Emotional works of fluid art: The ‘Breast or Beast’ collection.

From joy to despair, emotional works of fluid art represent good times as well as darker days. For example, my ‘Breast or Beast’ collection, purchased by the Nottingham City Hospital, shared my cancer journey through a series of beautiful artworks.

Thanks to support from Arts Council England https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/blog/survivors-artwork-brings-hope-breast-cancer-patients - the ‘Breast or Beast’ collection is a visual interpretation of the natural healthy breast, the discovery of a lump, cellular growth, treatment, and death.

Emotional works of fluid art like this communicate fear, confusion and profound experiences, and many artists seek solace in their work. Whether it is art, music or film, creativity can be a distraction in troubled times. Like myself, many artists have found the resilience within adversity to express themselves with something creative and beautiful. It’s incredible how wonderfully emotional works of fluid art can emerge from a challenging whirlwind of upheaval and turmoil.

From Cancer Survivor to Global Artist – My Story Takes Flight

From a breast cancer diagnosis to seeing my art featured on Sky Arts, life has taken an extraordinary turn. And now, I get to share a part of this journey with you! When film production company Recipe approached me to be part of their powerful new adcampaign on behalf of Cancer Research UK, I was both honoured and thrilled. As a direct beneficiary of their ground-breaking research, I owe my life to the advances in cancer treatment. This campaign isn’t just about raising funds—it’s about hope, resilience, and the power of science to change lives.

Film Premiere at BFI Building, Stephen Street, London

On February 4, 2025, I attended the film’s premiere and was deeply moved. This wasn’t just a film—it was a testament to the strength of four people who have battled cancer and the tireless work of scientists pushing the boundaries of treatment.

I sat there, reflecting on my own journey, and the value of creative endeavour to help process the trauma of cancer. My artistic expression transformed my cancer experience into something positive and powerful.

And now, to see my story potentially reaching audiences worldwide in the guise of emotional works of fluid art is simply surreal.
