Awakening
An abstract portrayal of rising from the dark with hope for enlightenment and harmony.
The tree with its twisted trunk and entwined roots firmly embedded in the dark earth below dominate and give a presence to this creation. The rising waves signify a surge upwards to growth and discovery to the beckoning warm light.
The primary tree is constructed from tiny strands of clay whilst the representation of the smaller trees were gathered from my garden, dried, painted and mounted.
