Mrs Tiggy and Winkles
Most of us will be familiar with Beatrix Potter, one of the worlds best loved children’s authors. I was enchanted by her tales as a child, and got much pleasure when reading them to my children many years later. This painting began life as uninspiring and dark and was abandoned, but as I later moved the painting around I quite clearly saw the face of a hedgehog, thus Mrs Tiggy and Winkles began life. These three have their own characteristics and were painted with pearl paint which shows beautifully on a dark base. Super cute!
