The flowers, stems, leaves and stalks are crafted from clay. The petals and central ovary were created individually prior to assembly which generates a 3D effect. The sky tone background displays a barely there french script to add interest.
A really unique and charming depiction of one of my favourite flowers.
50cm x 20cm x 2cm stretched canvas with a resin top coat to the poppies and a varnish to the rest of the painting.
