Steadfast

This tree resists the force of the gale, inclining its branches with the flow of the wind, but its leaves give in and dance away. The earth is linear and cellular to suggest strata and ground cover in muted shades of ochre, indigo, gold and bronze. The tree was constructed from hot glue which adds depth and dimension and lends a twisted character to the base of the tree and its roots. The pearlescent sky with a gentle shimmer provides a perfect backdrop for the steadfast tree.
