Summer's Embrace

£525.00

"Summer’s Embrace" is a radiant mixed media portrait that captures the warmth, vibrancy, and abundance of the season capturing the essence of feminine strength, transformation, and natural beauty. This original summer-inspired artwork features a powerful female profile adorned with flowing, textured hair infused with vibrant marbling, blooming roses, lush leaves, and delicate butterflies — each element a symbol of growth, rebirth, and the joy of midsummer. At it’s heart are delicate 3D roses and leaves, meticulously handcrafted from clay, then hand painted and individually resined to preserve their lush, sun-kissed textures. Floating around the figure are ethereal 3D butterflies, made from translucent clay and similarly hand painted and resined, giving the artwork a dynamic sense of lightness and movement.

With it’s bold lines and vivid colour contrasts this piece bridges the worlds of surreal portraiture, fantasy, and floral art. It invites viewers to reflect on the wild beauty within and around us during the height of the sun’s power.

This piece is a sensory celebration of nature in full bloom — a tribute to life at its most colourful.

Acrylic on stretched canvas 35.5 × 35.5 × 3.5cm. Clay roses, leaves and butterflies. Resin finish

PLEASE NOTE: “Summer’s Embrace” forms part of a collection of four paintings depicting the four seasons all of which form part of the PLANTS LETS GROW exhibit at Malvern Spring Festival 8-11th May 2025, Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 1-6th July 2025, and RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse 16-20th July 2025. If you are charmed by her and can wait until after 20th July please message me on my contact page to reserve.
