Wow! Surely a beautiful thing. My man oozes both strength and calm - powerful yet emotionally sensitive. He is called “The Button” because it presented itself in complete perfection from the paint drips. The presentation of paint and pigment on this work is just sensational as the complex metallic colour palette comes alive with shimmer and sheen, contrasting beautifully with the textural nature of the blue jeans. The application of gold, white, grey and black glazes provide the muscular definition.
This was a very real artistic adventure as it required many different techniques: drawing, fluid painting, brush painting, and glazing. The jeans are a triumph capturing the denim material with an essence of stitching.
